Remy Cromer, Ph.D.
Remy has over 25 years of experience in research and development of novel technology platforms addressing the challenges in the medical device arena. He has accumulated extensive expertise in bioanalytical tools, bio-diagnostics development, biomarker discovery, molecular design and materials science.
Recent areas of focus include Lab-on-Chip systems, integrating MEMS/NEMS, microfluidics and advanced nanomaterials for rapid bio-diagnostics and medical devices applications.
Conducting contract research and consulting in the field of nanotechnology and medical diagnostic platform integration, he is intimately familiar with medical diagnostics-based start-ups as well as top-tier diagnostic companies. Remy has directed various R&D programs and developed strategic initiatives in the Point-of-Care (POC)/medical diagnostics field, integrating nanotechnology and microfluidics systems. He has held positions of Director, Chemistry and Bioanalytical Technologies, leading assay development teams and establishing bioanalytical departments. He has held various scientific positions at Syva/Roche/Dade-Behring in diagnostics, proteomics and biomarker research areas.
His interest in NEMS has led to co-founding Zikon Inc., a company developing nanotechnology-based Electronic-Paper displays.
Remy is co-inventor of over 20 patents, co-author of over 20 publications.
