Alexander Sholtz
Alexander Sholtz is a recent graduate (magna cum laude) in Materials Science from U. Mich. He has 5 years of experience as a Research Assistant at Stanford, where he directed the outfitting of a lab in Madagascar with roughly $200,000 in lab equipment and supplies.
Developed and performed novel mouse lemur cell culturing protocol on very small samples and was the first to culture wild Mouse Lemur cells. Contributor, editor and instructor of Mouse Lemur Genetics 101 course and Mouse Lemur Genetics 102 laboratory manual taught to 75 Malagasy students at field lab in Madagascar.
Alex also worked for a year with the chair of Michigan Materials Science and Engineering department Dr. Peter F. Green on thin film polymer dewetting phenomena and transition state behavior of PEO polymers with exotic morphologies.
